This is a set for 8 people and it has NEVER been used! Sad story here, but beautiful set of silverware. These are not solid. They are very heavy plated back in the 60's! When they were purchased back in the 60's, I believe this was the same price we paid back THEN! The price of silver keeps going higher and this is a VERY good price. I am FIRM! These are beautiful and most definitely needs polishing
