Glass tile with it's jewel like sparkle adds fun and punch to any contemporary installation. Glass tiles are available in iridescent, opaque, translucent and multicolored shades. Glass tile is generally harder to work with than other tile types. Glass requires special tools for cutting, special adhesives, and unique underlayments. Many tile installer do not possess the skill, patience or experience to work with glass tile. The typical installer approaches a glass tile installation as if it were a ceramic tile installation and often disaster occurs.
