Sleep under the stars at a campout, Friday, February 3, the night before the Youth Fishing Derby! Overnight camping will be available for a $15 registration fee per car and families can sign up in the Lake Poway Recreation Office during business hours.
Included in the evening’s events will be a free pizza dinner and a fishing seminar

hosted by expert fishermen. The class will give youngsters a leg up on the competition and

ensure that their fishing rods and reels are in proper working order and rigged with appropriate

tackle for the following morning. Families will need to bring their own camping supplies and

food to barbeque. Grills are available, but you are encouraged to bring your own. Families

may start setting up their campsites at 7:00 a.m. Friday morning. No alcohol is permitted. For
