Clemenceau et L'Oculiste Mayer (Clemenceau and the Eye Doctor, Mayer) is image seven from the book Au Pied du Sinai, by George Clemenceau. 355 impressions in this ink and paper combination (out of a total of 810 impressions in different combinations of inks/papers). George Clemenceau's book, Au Pied du Sinai (At the Foot of Sinai), was published in 1898 by Henri Floury and Printed by Chamerot et Renouard. It told stories of the life of Jews in Poland. Lautrec created ten illustrations for the book and a cover piece. Framed size: 19-1/2 inches H x 18 inches W (49.5 cm x 45.7 cm). Conservation framed in antiqued French gold moulding with tan linen matting and gold fillet. All materials are archival quality. Set behind a UV resistant acrylic cover.
